Pacific Community staff in Noumea are Safe

They are working to ensure continued safety for all as the situation evolves. SPC has a staff of 297 in New Caledonia.

The Director General of the Pacific Community (SPC)- Dr Stuart Minchin in a Press Release yesterday has stated that in light of the unfolding unrest in New Caledonia, the well being and safety of staff at SPC is their priority.

Minchin states SPC is supporting their staff and families whilst assessing the situation on a regular basis in coordination with the Government of New Caledonia and their partners.  

The SPC staff,  their families and country participants at SPC who are based in Noumea are currently safe and not directly impacted by the civil disturbance. 

They are working to ensure continued safety for all as the situation evolves. SPC has a staff  of 297 staff in New Caledonia.
