Tourists and returning travelers arriving in Niue can now only purchase duty free liquor with their aircraft boarding pass at the Airport Bond store upon arrival.
CEO of the Niue Philatelic and Numismatic-Poi Kapaga has confirmed that they have now stopped the selling of Duty Free Liquor at the Bond store next to the Swanson Supermarket.
Kapaga says this came into effect last month with a few customer complaints which were expected.
He added it is still early days to see the impact in terms of revenue.
Travelers can only purchase Duty Free liquor at the airport or during pre-flight in New Zealand.
