A two day workshop held by PACER Plus was held at the Niue Chamber of Commerce Conference room last week.
Pace Plus Trade in Services and Investment Advisor-Olivia Phongkham says the purpose of the training is to highlight what Pace Plus can do for Niue.
“We are highlighting what Pacer Plus can do for Niue and the Pacific particularly focused on trade service and investment,” she said.
Phongkham says trade service is a particular area that is vital for the economic development of the pacific region. So over the next 2 days they will talk about the benefits of Pacer Plus, what it can provide for Niue businesses as well as the sectors within Niue.
TradeWorthy Director- Sven Callebaut says they are assisting participants to put together a proposal, for technical assistance, request in trading services and investment, tourism, E-commerce so they can apply for funding in Pacer Plus.
Callebaut says it has a development package funds from Australia and New Zealand and if successful today, in the next financial year, businesses and Government in Niue can benefit from this assistance.

Participants from various stakeholders and Ministries were in attendance for the two days training.
