Hepatitis Film Expected to Premiere in July

The film is expected to premiere in Niue by the end of July to mark World Hepatitis Day which is commemorated annually on July 28.

A  Film Crew is currently documenting a film based on the Hepatitis Elimination Pogramme on the island.

The crew have been on the island since last week alongside a team of health professionals to document the training and interview patients and doctors that have been involved in the Hepatitis Elimination Programme.

Since 2019, a New-Zealand based viral hepatitis elimination project and non-governmental organization known as Cure-A-Country has been working with the Niue health department to achieve its goal of curing a nation from viral hepatitis.

Cure -A -Country Founder and Hepatitis C survivor- Hazel Heal says they want to distribute the film worldwide and to explain how Niue has set an example that can save lives  all over the world.

The film is expected to premiere in Niue by the end of July to mark World Hepatitis Day which is commemorated annually on July 28.

The team of 8 that included film crews and health professionals.
