A staggering 99.5% of visitors would recommend Niue to others.
This according to Tourism Niue after conducting a short satisfaction survey a few months ago when free Wi-Fi was introduced at the airport for departing passengers.
The survey indicated 98% of visitors would return to Niue in the future. And when it comes to visitors rating their overall experience on the island, of the 90% that were surveyed, 30% rated very good and 60% rated great. There was no response that selected a poor experience.
The highest number of visitors to Niue are from New Zealand, making up about 80% of arrivals this year.
Tourism Niue Director-Micah Fuhiniu-Viviani says tourism arrivals to the island have dramatically increased compared to the same period last year.
She says this is largely due to a higher occupancy on the aircraft, bigger aircraft available for much of the tourist season, the lifting of Covid restrictions since April and a new sales and marketing structure in New Zealand.
Niue Tourism has confirmed that Air New Zealand will continue their second weekly flight starting in April next year.
