The Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum Hon. Henry Puna arrived this afternoon as part of a series of high-level consultation visits to member nations.
While on the island this week, SG Puna will hold a round of meetings with leaders and community groups on regional priorities, with a focus on the 2050 strategy endorsed by leaders at the 50th Forum in Suva last year.
This afternoon he paid a courtesy call on Premier Dalton Tagelagi at Fale Fono II.
BCN News understands that the Secretary-General is also very keen to meet with the students of Niue High school, the future leaders of Niue.
Henry Puna is the immediate former Prime Minister of the Cook Islands before he became the Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum, based in Suva, Fiji.
