Covid-19 update: Niue finally returns to zero active cases after a while with high numbers

Several nurses from Samoa will arrive next month to help with the staff shortage at the Health Department

Niue finally has zero active cases of covid-19. According to the last update on the Niue covid dashboard last Friday 3rd February, no new cases of covid-19 were detected. One of the previously active cases has recovered.

The island has recorded a total of 747 cases of covid-19 since March 2022 last year when the virus first entered into Niue. All of 747 cases are recovered.

Niue has not recorded zero active cases of covid-19 since last year in the month of May where only one covid case was recorded for that month.

Although the island currently has no active cases of covid-19, members of the public are still encouraged to practise and maintain precautionary covid-19 measures, such as regularly washing your hands and completing a rapid antigen test if experiencing covid-like symptoms.
