A news brief of some of the events which took place during Constitution week that we missed.
Business Expo
On Friday 14th October, Niue Chamber of Commerce (NCOC) held its annual business expo. However this year instead of joining with the National Show day held at Paliati, the business expo had its own day held at the Commercial Centre.
NCOC’s CEO Catherine Papani told BCN News that the “outcome was a positive feel all round and many of the businesses sold out; some were exhibition/display only of their goods and services.”
“It was also good that the businesses around the Commercial Centre also benefited with increased number of foot traffic. Good to see the commercial centre busy with locals and tourists.”
The business expo originated at the Commercial Centre around 2009. Catherine’s says “it was a way of promoting businesses and their services and products.”
The program now involves two entrepreneurial programs including the Young Entrepreneurs (NHS Year 10) and the Junior Entrepreneurs (NPS Year 5 & 6).
This year, the expo has expanded to include the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs (AWE).
