All travellers required to complete New Zealand Declaration form starting next week

The New Zealand High Commission has advised that, starting from next week, all travellers to and from Niue and New Zealand will be required to complete an online New Zealand Traveller Declaration form.

Travellers include all New Zealand citizens, Niue residents, children and infants.

The form will work as an airport arrival pass and the information used in the form will help officials determine whether a self-test is required on arrival or whether travellers are eligible for Quarantine-Free Travel.

In order to complete the online form, travellers would need their passport details, vaccination letter, and their flight information.

Other standard requirements include proof of negative covid results from the pre-departure PCR or RAT test. However, travellers from Niue to New Zealand are not required to complete the pre-departure tests.

Travellers from Niue can upload their vaccination letter from Niue Foou Hospital showing proof of being fully vaccinated.

Travellers can also check their eligibility for travel before departing the country through this online form.

The form is free and can be completed 28 days prior to the day of flight departure.

Travellers flying from New Zealand to Niue are advised to submit their declaration form as soon as they have received the mandatory pre-departure PCR test results so that there is time to verify and review their form application before their flight.

After the form is completed and has been verified and approved, travellers will receive a Traveller Pass to be presented alongside the boarding pass in order to board their flight.

False and misleading information will not be tolerated in completing the form, otherwise it may result in the declaration form being declined and a penalty or other enforcement action will be upheld.
