Six villages will go to the polls for the village council elections on Friday this week. The voters from the villages of Tamakautoga, Hikutavake, Liku, Makefu, Tuapa, and Alofi North will be voting for their new village councils to lead their villages for the next three years.
Here are the names of the candidates for the elections as confirmed by the Chief Electoral officer Darren Tohovaka yesterday.

Voting will be held at the following polling stations, for Tamakautoga voting will be held at the village hall.
For the village of Liku, voting will be at the Ekalesia Hall and there will be a marquee set up on the village green for the village of Hikutavake.
Tuapa and Alofi North voters will cast their votes at the respective village halls while the voters of Makefu will cast their votes at the Ekalesia church hall.
Polling will commence from 9am and will close at 6pm.
