The Ekalesia Kerisiano Niue officially welcomed their new pastor in Reverend Scan Mitiepo and his wife Roslyn last Friday at their ordination witnessed by the church leaders and family.
Despite the heavy rain and thunderstorms, the Centennial church in central Alofi was packed with people last Friday to witness the ordination of Reverend Scanlan Mitiepo and Mrs Roslyn Mitiepo. The ceremony was presided over by the President of the Ekelesia Kerisiano Niue Reverend Nuka Tauevihi.
Reverend Mitiepo from the villages of Hakupu and Toi and his wife Mrs Roslyn Mitiepo from the village of Liku were welcomed with celebration as the new members of the Ekalesia Niue clergy.
After the official part of the program, the crowd gathered at the Millennium Hall to partake in the food prepared by the villages of Hikutavake and Hakupu and the Mitiepo family.
Reverend Scan and Mrs Rosy Mitiepo have been serving and ministry to the Ekalesia of Hikutavake for some time and will continue to serve there.
Rev. Scan is also an IT specialist working with BCN and his wife Roslyn is the Director of the Office of Meteorology and Climate Change.
