Chamber of Commerce offers $100,000 to initiate an economic stimulus package

The Chamber of Commerce has pledged $100,000 to initiate an economic stimulus package to help the businesses during these tough economic times. 

Yesterday the Chamber sent through their Private Sector Economic Stimulus Strategy to the Niue Government. 

In his statement to the nation yesterday, Sir Toke Talagi said the government is  working closely with the Chamber of Commerce and working with the Chamber to help the private sector. 

A press release from the Acting Business Development Manager /CEO of the Chamber Esther Pavihi yesterday assured the private sector that it is business as usual but to always maintain good hygiene. 

While most of the public service were sent home for two weeks yesterday after the alert level was raised to yellow, the private sector will continue as normal until further notice.
