4 weeks closure for Matavai Resort

Scenic Matavai Resort has closed for four weeks according to a statement by the Manager Matthew Brettel. 

“This decision was made to mitigate any operational costs and also take into consideration the smaller businesses in regard to how much business there is to share around these days, that this way they have 1 less business to compete with”.  said Brettel

He said that the staff will still be working at the Resort at 80 per cent of their average hours. They will spend the next four weeks painting, landscaping, general maintenance and beautifying the resort. 

According to the statement, the Scenic Matavai Apartments will still be available to the Government for those who have to be in self-isolation after this current group complete their quarantine period on Friday 3rd April.
