Tahiono Art Gallery wins most prestigious Champion of Champion Award
The 2019 Business Awards was held over the weekend at the Scenic Matavai with Tahiono Art Gallery winning the most prestigious Champion of Champion Award on the night.
The Business Awards facilitated by the Niue Chamber of Commerce is a biannual event to acknowledge and commend the private sector for their outstanding contribution to Niue and Niue’s economy.
53 businesses vied for the 7 awards and the following businesses were awarded the night:
- New Business Award – All Relatif Cocktail Bar (owner John & Saofia Asanso). Finalists – Niue Wahoo Fishing Charters & Vilina’s Salon
- Producer Award – Rocksteady Enterprise (owners Glen & Elaine Jackson). Finalists – A+ Apparel & Rock Island Enterprises
- Tourism Award – Niue Wahoo Fishing Charters (owner Clifford Marsh) Finalists – Breeze Kauhi Accommodation & Namukulu Cottages
Niue Tourism’s CEO Felicity Bollen surprised everybody with their own special tourism award acknowledging Scenic Matavai Resort for their significant contribution to the Tourism Industry
Hospitality Award – Hio Cafe (owners Toni & Victoria Kalauni). Finalists Wok on the Rock & Fusion Flavas
Retail, Trades & Services Award – Tahiono Gallery (owners Mark & Ahi Cross). Finalists – Iki Bee Services & The Taxi
Customer Service Award – Maulu Spa (owner Alana Tukuniu). Finalists – All Relatifs Cocktail Bar & Hio Cafe
The winners from each of the 6 categories were finalists for the Champion of Champion Awards with Tahiono Art Gallery awarded this most prestigious title as overall winner of the night.
