Team Niue for the Pacific Games will be farewelled this week as most team members leave the country this Friday.
Niue’s national sporting body, Niue Island Sports Commonwealth Games Association states while some members of Lawn Bowls have already left, the rest of Team Niue members will start leaving Niue this Friday.
Some team members will be traveling directly from Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland to Samoa in time for the Opening Ceremony.
Team Golf have fare-welled their 10-member strong team in the weekend
The national sporting body states there are some delays with the Shooting teams documentation, they are hoping all will be settled this week, otherwise they will not be permitted to take their firearms into Samoa.
The Team Niue officials and team managers will have their final team meeting on Wednesday this week
Team Niue will attend church on Sunday at the Hakupu Ekalesia Church followed by a short farewell with families and friends
24 countries will participate in 27 sports throughout the Games, which runs from the 7th to the 20th of July.
